Our Mission

Protecting people and the environment from radiological and nuclear risks in Niger

ARSN is the independent national authority responsible for the regulation, control and supervision of all nuclear and radiological activities on Nigerien territory. It ensures that these activities are conducted in strict compliance with safety, security and environmental protection standards.

As a regulatory body, ARSN exercises its functions with full independence from the entities it regulates, thereby guaranteeing the objectivity and credibility of its decisions.

Updating and harmonising legislative and regulatory texts with IAEA international standards (GSR Part 1, GSR Part 3, etc.).
