ARSN develops strategic partnerships with international organisations, African peer authorities and national institutions to continuously strengthen its regulatory capabilities.
The IAEA is ARSN's principal strategic partner. This cooperation covers all areas of nuclear regulation: technical assistance, training, evaluation missions (IRRS, ARTEMIS), safety standards and safeguards agreements (SSAC).
ARSN is an active member of the main African nuclear regulation and non-proliferation organisations.
South Africa (headquarters)
Body responsible for implementing the Pelindaba Treaty establishing a nuclear-weapon-free zone in Africa. Niger is an active signatory.

Network of African nuclear safety authorities. Facilitates experience sharing, regulatory harmonisation and capacity building among member states.
Africa (IAEA)
Regional technical cooperation agreement for Africa, administered by the IAEA. Allows member states to benefit from joint projects in peaceful nuclear applications.

Initiative to harmonise regulatory approaches among nuclear authorities of sub-Saharan Africa, facilitating exchanges of good practices.
